Adler: Hull Surface File

AMS applies the latest in digital technology in order to best serve our Clients. Shown are renderings created from the data used to produce tooling for constructing the composite parts for the 136-foot [41.5m] Adler.

The AMS computer-generated data for tooling saves resources and provides for more accurate shapes and surfaces, including highly-critical jet tunnels and hydrodynamic as well as aerodynamic details.

A surface file is a set of computer data which represents the geometry of the skin of an object, such as a yacht hull. The accuracy of this representation is controlled by the desired tolerance and is, of course, perfectly symmetrical. Once the data is created it can be used to plot full-size patterns or drive numerically-controlled milling machines which machine precision molds.
